Request for Bids – Village Office Building Roof Replacement
The Village of Stratton, Nebraska, is accepting bids for the removal and replacement of the roof on the Village Office/Library Building.
Project Description
The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, permits, supervision, and disposal necessary to remove the existing roofing system and install a new roofing system on the Village Office Building located at:
411 Bailey Street
Stratton, Nebraska
The successful bidder shall provide all materials and workmanship necessary to complete the project in accordance with industry standards and all applicable building codes.
Scope of Work
The work shall include, at a minimum:
- Removal and disposal of all existing roofing materials.
- Inspection of roof decking for damaged or deteriorated areas.
- Replacement of damaged decking as authorized by the Village (to be billed only upon prior approval unless otherwise specified in the bid).
- Installation of new underlayment.
- Installation of new roofing material.
- Installation of new drip edge, flashing, ridge cap, vents, pipe boots, and all necessary accessories.
- Site cleanup and removal of all debris.
- Protection of Village property during construction.
- Final inspection upon project completion.
Bid Requirements
Each bid shall include:
- Total project cost.
- Cost per sheet for replacement of damaged roof decking, if applicable.
- Type, manufacturer, and color of roofing materials proposed.
- Estimated project start date.
- Estimated completion date.
- Proof of liability insurance.
- Proof of workers' compensation insurance.
- Warranty information for materials and workmanship.
Site Inspection
Interested contractors are encouraged to inspect the project site before submitting a bid. Site visits may be scheduled by contacting the Village Office at 308-276-2184.
Bid Submission
Bids shall be clearly marked:
"Roof Replacement Bid – Village Office Building"
Bids must be received no later than August 17, 2026 at 5:00 pm CST.

Late bids will not be accepted.
Bids will be reviewed at the Village Board meeting on August 17, 2026 at 7 :00 pm CST at the Village Office.
Award of Contract
The Village Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, request additional information from bidders, and award the contract to the bidder determined to be in the best interest of the Village.
The successful bidder shall not commence work until authorized by the Village and shall complete the project within the time specified in the accepted bid unless otherwise approved by the Village Board.
