Landfill
Dump Key:
-For tree and yard waste outside the Village limits, there will be a $20.00 fee per load.
-Tree and landscaping service providers can purchase a key to the tree and yard waste pit for $20.00.
The ONLY Items that will be allowed to be dumped out at the tree/ grass dump will be:
- TREES
- LEAVES
- GRASS
- GARDEN WASTE
Items that are NOT ALLOWED:
- TREATED WOOD
- LUMBER THAT HAS BEEN PAINTED
- PRESSURE TREATED WOOD
- STAINED WOOD
- ETC….. OR
THERE WILL BE NO CONSTRUCTION WASTE ALLOWED, EXAMPLES:
- SHINGLES
- WINDOWS
- GLASS
- METALS
- DRYWALL
- PLASTER
NO PAPER WASTE, CARDBOARD, OR GENERAL HOUSEHOLD WASTE!
White goods may be dumped for a $10.00 fee per item, whether it is inside or outside the village limits.
$ 20.00 Deposit will be required for anyone within the Village limits for the use of the Tree/ Grass Dump key! The deposit will be returned if the key is returned within THREE hours.
I have read the following and understand that I will be fully responsible for the key and that there is only the proper waste being dumped in the Tree/ Grass pits. If I am the one who has checked out the key and dumped any of the following items that are listed above that can’t be dumped out at the pit, the items will be removed and returned to your property, and The Village of Stratton will be issuing the proper fines listed in Resolution 449. 1ST Offense- written warning, 2nd Offense- $100 fine and 3 month loss of privileges, 3rd Offense $200 fine and loss of privileges for 3 months or longer. These are Federal Regulations enforced by the Department of Environmental Quality.
